Doutzen Kroes (* 23. Januar 1985 in Oostermeer, Gemeinde Tytsjerksteradiel, Niederlande) ist ein niederländisches Supermodel.

Entdeckung [Bearbeiten]

Als 18-Jährige schickte Kroes ein paar Urlaubsbilder zur Agentur Papparazzi in Amsterdam, nachdem sie ihre Schule beendet hatte. Ihr eigentliche Gedanke war es, ein bisschen Geld nebenbei zu verdienen.

Auftraggeber

Kroes macht die Modenschauen für Marken wie Versace, D&G und Gucci. Sie ist weltweit das neue Gesicht von das Parfüm Eternity von Calvin Klein, eine ehemalige Kampagne war mit Christy Turlington. 2006 debütierte sie bei den Victoria’s Secret Fashionshow.

2006 unterschrieb sie als erste nicht-berühmte Person einen Vertrag mit L’Oréal, nachdem das Unternehmen seit Jahren nur noch Berühmtheiten wie Claudia Schiffer, Laetitia Casta, Fernanda Tavares, Andie MacDowell, Heather Locklear, Natalie Imbruglia und viele andere unter Vertrag hatte. Hiermit katapultierte sie sich innerhalb einiger Monate vom unbekannten Model zum Supermodel.

Privatleben

Sie lebt hauptsächlich in New York City.
