Tessa James (born 17 April 1991) is an Australian actress who is best known for the role of Nicole Franklin in the Australian soap opera Home and Away.


Early and personal life

James has performed in school plays and amateur theatre throughout primary school and high school. She has been dancing since the age of five, has sung for the Young Australian Broadway Chorus and the Children Performing Choirs Australia.She took up acting at the age of 7. She attended Methodist Ladies' College Melbourne.

In December 2010, James became engaged to professional rugby league footballer Nate Myles.

Career

Her first television role was playing Anne Baxter in the soap opera Neighbours.She also played the lead role in the Australian short film, Hugo.

James joined the cast of Home and Away as Nicole Franklin in 2008. In an interview, James stated that she likes playing Nicole because they are complete opposites and that she is not a fan of wearing lots of make-up, unlike Nicole.In March 2011, James confirmed that she had left Home and Away after three and a half years.

She plans to audition for roles in Los Angeles
