Amy Childs

Amy Childs is a 23 year old freelance television presenter, journalist and model. Having previously fronted hair care campaigns and brief stints presenting for Channel M and ACE Collectables, Amy is currently working at DM Digital, where she researches, writes and presents the national news daily, in addition to a 60 second news head-line round up and an international news update.

Twice a week Amy co-hosts 'Shine' www.shine-tv.co.uk an hour long live topical, lifestyle programme. Each show includes an in-depth review of the mornings papers, interviews on current topics and visits from various guests including cookery, money saving, crafting and beauty experts. Through this position Amy has also become at ease with interviewing many high profile public figures and celebrities.

Occasionally episodes are dedicated to a specific charity; the objective being to raise awareness and funds. Such programmes feature a live studio audience and lots of audience participation!

In addition to studio work, 'Shine' brings the opportunity for lots of on location action; feeding lions and meercats at Blackpool Zoo, learning to salsa dance, completing a military fitness scheme and visiting the famous Coronation Street cobbles.

Amy has also hosted several political one-off special programmes for DM Digital, in the run up to various elections. Having interviewed amongst many, Arlene McCarthy MEP, Tony Lloyd MP and Former European Minister Caroline Flint. Such shows often involved managing discussions amongst opposing party representatives and live viewer call-ins.
