Lucie Bethan Jones (born 20 March 1991) is a student from Pentyrch, a village on the outskirts of Cardiff, Wales. She has had vocal training from Louise Ryan who trained Charlotte Church. In the first week she sang: "Footprints In The Sand". In Week Two she sang: "How Will I Know" (Whitney Houston). In week three she sang: "My Funny Valentine" (Mitzi Green). In week four she sang: "Sweet Child o' Mine" (Guns N' Roses). In week five Lucie sang "This Is Me" (Demi Lovato) and "One Moment in Time" (Whitney Houston). She became the fifth act to be sent home from the X Factor after losing out to John & Edward in the sing-off. She was eliminated by the public vote in a controversial vote-off, where 1,113 viewers complained to UK TV Watchdog Ofcom about the show being fixed in favour of John and Edward. Ofcom refused to investigate however. Jones has since gone on to be signed by Select Model Management, and in late January 2010 released her first modelling shots. She is also one of the many celebrities who have teamed up with Cancer Research UK to re-release "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". In May 2010, Jones was signed by Cameron Mackintosh to play Cosette in the West End production of Les Miserables, a role she missed out on the previous year due to commitments to X Factor.
