Early Life
American fashion model Anna Schilling was born on 14 February 1987, St. Valentine’s Day, in New Jersey. Her parents are of German descent. She grew up outside of the fashion industry, but she was discovered in 2006 at ProScout. She originally signed with Fusion Models of New York and Storm Models of London. She has also been represented by Beatrice Models, City Models of Paris, Priscilla’s Model Management, Metropolitan Models, and MD Management. Although she is still considered a fairly new model, Schilling has worked for some very impressive designers and been shot by some top photographers.

In September of 2006, Schilling made her runway debut when she walked for Betsey Johnson in the spring show in New York and for Allegra Hicks in London. However, she did not appear in the 2007 ready-to-wear runway season. In September, though, she walked for Jenni Kayne and for John Richmond. During 2008, she walked for a number of different designers, including Nanette Lepore, Baby Phat, Maison Martin Margiela, Rock & Republic, Yohji Yamamoto, Anne Valerie Hash, Elie Saab, Max Azria, and Here Leger. She took part in the 2009 New York Fashion Week.

Schilling has done a small number of photo shoots and magazine spreads. One of her earliest was in 2008 for Glamour. She also appeared in the Anthropologie spring catalogue and became the face of John Richmond. Also during 2008, Schilling appeared in the Neiman Marcus fall catalogue and was photographed for a Wonderland editorial and a French Vogue editorial. She has done catalogue work for J. Crew and Saks Fifth as well.

Personal Life
Schilling is known to be friends with models Ambrose Olsen, Ksenia Kakhnovich, and Danielle Hamm. In addition to her modelling work, Schilling has also made an appearance on the television show Project Runway. She currently lives in New York.
