Joan Marie Jett (* 22. September 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania als Joan Marie Larkin) ist eine US-amerikanische Rock-Sängerin und Gitarristin.

Sie wurde in Philadelphia geboren, zog jedoch als Kind mit ihrer Familie nach Hollywood, Kalifornien.

Erste Aufmerksamkeit erregte sie als Gitarristin, Songschreiberin und Sängerin in der Hard Rock-Frauen-Band The Runaways.

Nach der Auflösung der Runaways im Jahr 1980 widmete sie sich ihrer Solo-Karriere und hatte recht große Erfolge, zum Beispiel mit ihrem Hit "I love Rock and Roll" (mit ihrer neuen Band, den Blackhearts).
