BIOGRAFIE

In Hameln geboren, hatte Susan Stahnke bereits als Kind Ballettunterricht, absolvierte an der Royal Academy of Dancing Tanzprüfungen mit Auszeichnung und wirkte in mehreren Bühnenaufführungen mit.

Sie studierte an der Universität Hamburg Betriebswirtschaft und Fremdsprachen (Englisch, Französisch, Spanisch, Italienisch, Portugiesisch), machte ihr Diplom und ging als freie Mitarbeiterin zum NDR. Schauspielunterricht nahm Susan bei Dozenten der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Hamburg, später auch bei Oscar-Preisträger Martin Landau in Los Angeles.
Von 1992 bis 1999 war Susan die jüngste Sprecherin der "Tagesschau" in der ARD. Parallel zu Europas erfolgreichster Nachrichtensendung moderierte sie TV-Shows wie das "ARD-Wunschkonzert" und "Musik für Millionen" sowie Galas wie "Das Goldene Lenkrad" und die "Operalia" mit Plácido Domingo. Für Pro 7 berichtete die Allrounderin 1999 live von der "Oscar"-Verleihung aus Hollywood. Wiederum Pro 7 sendete im gleichen Jahr ihr Bond-Spezial "Eingeladen bei Pierce Brosnan".
