Alaina Marie Beaton (born October 1, 1985), better known by her stage name Porcelain Black, is an American pop-rock singer-songwriter.
Career
Porcelain began her career under the pseudonym Porcelain & The Tramps, but changed it because fans and record executives were confused as to whether she was a solo act or the front-woman of a band. In 2004 she was approached by rock legend Courtney Love to provide backing vocals on Love's impending solo album America's Sweetheart, although their collaboration was ultimately scrapped. "How Do You Love Someone?", co-penned by Porcelain was cut by Ashley Tisdale for her album Guilty Pleasure.
Porcelain's debut album is executive-produced by RedOne. She is signed to RedOne's 2101 Records and is released via Universal Republic, as well as Young Money Entertainment. Porcelain is in the new Rock of Ages playing an unknown role, but has been confirmed to be one of the recording artists in the movie's soundtrack. She will make her first ever television appearance on The David Letterman Show. The episode will air July 21, 2011.
