Bananarama

Bananarama ist eine britische Girlgroup, die von 1986 bis 1989 von dem Hitproduzenten-Trio Stock Aitken Waterman betreut wurde. Ihre ersten Hits wie Shy Boy, Cruel Summer und Robert de Niro's Waiting gehen auf das Konto des Produzententeams Steve Jolley und Tony Swain, die auch Imagination (Just an Illusion) und Alison Moyets Erstwerk Alf (All Cried Out, Invisible) produziert haben. Zusammen mit Gruppen wie The Bangles und The Go-Gos wurden sie zum Prototyp der Girlgroup und waren Vorreiterinnen für Gruppen wie die Spice Girls.
