Barbara Karlich

Barbara Karlich, Kosename Babel, (* 7. Jänner 1969 in Wien) ist eine österreichische Fernsehmoderatorin und gehört der burgenland-kroatischen Volksgruppe an.[1] Sie wuchs in Trausdorf im Burgenland auf.

Nach der Matura, die sie am neusprachlichen Gymnasium in Eisenstadt mit gutem Erfolg absolvierte, übersiedelte sie nach Wien. Dort studierte sie Publizistik, Psychologie und Theaterwissenschaften an der Universität Wien und absolvierte den Hochschullehrgang für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit.

Ihre Karriere beim Radio startete sie 1996, wo sie zuletzt beim Privatsender RTL-Wien die tägliche Morgenshow „Barbarella und die Morgencrew“ moderierte. Seit 27. Oktober 1999 moderiert sie beim ORF „Die Barbara Karlich Show“. Im Jahr 2000 spielte sie in der deutsch-österreichischen TV-Komödie „Probieren Sie's mit einem Jüngeren“ mit.

2004 und 2005 erhielt Barbara Karlich die Romy als beliebteste Show- und Talkmasterin.

Am 20. August 2005 heiratete sie den ehemaligen Rechtsanwaltanwärter Christoph Preitschopf. Die kirchliche Trauung fand im Stift Altenburg in Niederösterreich statt. Die Ehe hielt jedoch nur neun Monate und sechs Tage. Seit 26. Mai 2006 sind die beiden geschieden.

Ab 10. März 2006 nahm sie an der zweiten Staffel der ORF-Show Dancing Stars teil. Mit ihrem Tanzpartner Alexander Zaglmeier erreichte sie den 7. Platz und musste die Show nach der 4. Runde am 31. März 2006 verlassen.

In ihrer Freizeit schreibt Barbara Karlich an ihrer Autobiografie und geht oft Pilze sammeln. Seit Sommer 2006 ist sie mit dem Nachrichtenredakteur Roland Hofbauer liiert, der Vater ihrer ersten Tochter ist. Das Baby der beiden wurde am 04. Jänner 2008 in Wien per Kaiserschnitt geboren und heißt Gloria Deva Estella.
