Franziska Petri

Franziska Petri (* 17. August 1973 in Leipzig) ist eine deutsche Schauspielerin.

Nach Ballett- und Gesangsausbildung im Kindesalter und Mitwirkung als Sängerin in mehreren Bands besuchte sie von 1992 bis 1995 die Hochschule für Schauspielkunst „Ernst Busch“ Berlin. Außerdem ist sie gelernte Putzmacherin. Während des Schauspielstudiums spielte sie am Schillertheater. Ihre erste Fernsehrolle war ein Gastauftritt in der Serie Wolffs Revier. Nach einigen weiteren Fernsehrollen folgte 1998 in Das Mambospiel ihre erste Kinorolle.

Einem breiteren Publikum wurde sie 2000 bekannt durch die Hauptrolle in Vanessa Jopps hochgelobtem Kinofilm Vergiss Amerika. Es folgten weitere Hauptrollen 2001 in Joseph Vilsmaiers Film Leo und Claire sowie 2005 neben Hanna Schygulla in dem ARD-Fernsehfilm Das unreine Mal.
