Sylvia Kristel

Sylvia Kristel (* 28. September 1952 in Utrecht) ist eine niederländische Schauspielerin und Modell.

Sie spricht neben Niederländisch auch Französisch, Englisch, Deutsch und Italienisch.

Mit 17 Jahren begann sie ihre Karriere als Modell und gewann 1973 den Wettbewerb Miss TV Europe. International bekannt wurde sie 1974 durch die Darstellung der Emmanuelle im gleichnamigen Erotikfilm Emanuelle, mit der ihr Name bis heute eng verbunden ist. Dieser Film ist der erfolgreichste je produzierte französische Film.

Sie blieb in späteren Filmen ihrem Image treu und spielte neben Emmanuelle-Nachfolgefilmen auch die Titelrollen der erotischen Verfilmungen von Lady Chatterley's Lover (1981) und Mata Hari (1985). 1981 brachte ein Gastspiel sie in die USA. Sie spielte dort in der damals umstrittenen Sexkomödie Private Lessons.

Sie hatte bislang Auftritte in über 50 Filmen als Haupt- oder Nebendarstellerin. Heute lebt sie in Amsterdam.
