Leonie Benesch

Leonie Benesch (* 22. April 1991) ist eine deutsche Filmschauspielerin.

2008 spielte sie eine der Hauptrollen in dem 2009 mit der Goldenen Palme in Cannes ausgezeichneten Spielfilm Das weiße Band – Eine deutsche Kindergeschichte. Die Kritik nannte Benesch in diesem Zusammenhang „eine Entdeckung“.[1] Für die europäische Koproduktion, die von rätselhaften Zwischenfällen in einem norddeutschen Dorf am Vorabend des Ersten Weltkriegs berichtet, erhielt Benesch gemeinsam mit Leonard Proxauf den US-amerikanischen Young Artist Award.[2]

Die Schauspielerin lebt in Tübingen[3] und besucht die Tübinger Freie Waldorfschule.[4]
