Astrid Frohloff

Astrid Frohloff (* 21. August 1962 in Wittingen) ist eine deutsche Journalistin und Fernsehmoderatorin.

Astrid Frohloff absolvierte ein Studium für Politik- und Literaturwissenschaften sowie Soziologie an der Universität Hannover. Anschließend studierte sie Journalisitik am Institut für Journalistik und Kommunikationsforschung der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. Ihre Abschlussarbeit trägt den Titel "Wessis" schreiben für "Ossis": Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten in den redaktionellen Konzepten von SUPERillu und EXTRA MAGAZIN. Von 1990 bis 1992 arbeitete Astrid Frohloff als Moderatorin und Redakteurin bei RTL Nord, bevor sie dann als Moderatorin von "DAS! - Das Abendmagazin" zum NDR wechselte. Dort hat sie zahlreiche Filmbeiträge und Reportagen produziert.

Ab 1995 arbeitete Astrid Frohloff beim Privatsender Sat.1, wo sie zunächst nach Jerusalem ging und ein Korrespondenten-Büro aufbaute. Im Januar 1999 übernahm sie die Chefmoderation der "18.30 - Sat.1 Nachrichten", die sie im August 2004 bei der Umbenennung zu den Sat.1 News an Thomas Kausch abgab.

Zudem ist Astrid Frohloff seit Dezember 2003 im Vorstand der Organisation Reporter ohne Grenzen, nachdem zwei Kollegen während ihrer Einsätze als Berichterstatter im Irak-Krieg getötet wurden.

Seit März 2007 moderiert Astrid Frohloff beim Privatsender N24 die Sendung N24 Wissen. Zudem ist sie nach dem Ausscheiden Michael Naumanns Gastgeberin der zweiwöchentlichen rbb-Gesprächsrunde "Im Palais".
