Ilse Aigner (* 7. Dezember 1964 in Feldkirchen-Westerham) ist eine deutsche Politikerin (CSU). Seit Oktober 2008 ist sie Bundesministerin für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Verbraucherschutz.
Leben und Beruf
Nach der Mittleren Reife 1981 in Bad Aibling absolvierte Ilse Aigner bis 1985 eine Lehre zur Radio- und Fernsehtechnikerin und arbeitete danach im elterlichen Elektrohandwerksbetrieb. Von 1988 bis 1990 besuchte sie eine Technikerschule, die sie als staatlich geprüfte Elektrotechnikerin beendete. Anschließend war sie bis 1994 bei der Eurocopter Group in der Entwicklung von Systemelektrik für Hubschrauber tätig. Aigner ist katholisch.
Politische Karriere
Partei
Ilse Aigner trat 1983 in die Junge Union (JU) und 1985 auch in die CSU ein. Sie war von 1993 bis 1999 stellvertretende JU-Landesvorsitzende in Bayern und von 1995 bis 1999 stellvertretende Vorsitzende des CSU-Kreisverbandes Rosenheim-Land. Sie gehört seit 1995 dem CSU-Parteivorstand an und ist seit 1999 stellvertretende Vorsitzende des CSU-Bezirksverbandes Oberbayern. 2007 wurde sie zur Schriftführerin der CSU gewählt.
Abgeordnete
Von 1990 bis 1998 gehörte Ilse Aigner dem Gemeinderat ihres Heimatortes Feldkirchen-Westerham und von 1990 bis 1999 dem Kreistag des Landkreises Rosenheim an. Von 1994 bis 1998 war sie außerdem Mitglied des Bayerischen Landtages.
Seit 1998 ist Ilse Aigner Mitglied des Deutschen Bundestages. Hier war sie von 1998 bis 2002 Obfrau der CDU/CSU-Fraktion in der Enquête-Kommission „Zukunft des Bürgerschaftlichen Engagements“ und von 2002 bis 2006 stellvertretende Vorsitzende der CSU-Landesgruppe. Von 2005 bis zu ihrer Ernennung zur Bundesministerin am 31. Oktober 2008 war Ilse Aigner Vorsitzende der Fraktionsarbeitsgruppe Bildung und Forschung. Seit Beginn der laufenden Legislaturperiode ist sie zudem Mitglied im Vorstand der CDU/CSU-Bundestagsfraktion.
Ilse Aigner ist stets als direkt gewählte Abgeordnete des Wahlkreises Starnberg in den Bundestag eingezogen. Bei der Bundestagswahl 2005 erreichte sie hier 59,7 % der Erststimmen.
Bundesministerin
Nachdem Horst Seehofer am 27. Oktober 2008 wenige Stunden vor seiner Wahl zum bayerischen Ministerpräsidenten sein Amt als Bundesminister für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Verbraucherschutz aufgegeben hatte, wurde Ilse Aigner nach Vorschlag durch Bundeskanzlerin Angela Merkel am 31. Oktober 2008 als Seehofers Nachfolgerin von Bundespräsident Horst Köhler zur Bundesministerin ernannt. Die Vereidigung vor dem Deutschen Bundestag fand am 4. November statt. Auch im Kabinett Merkel II behielt Aigner den Vorsitz dieses Ministeriums. Ihre zweite Vereidigung fand am 28. Oktober 2009 statt.
Am 9. Juli 2009 erhielt sie den Bayerischen Verdienstorden.
