Michelle Yvonne Hunziker (* 24. Januar 1977 in Sorengo bei Lugano, Schweiz) ist Moderatorin, Sängerin und Fotomodell aus der Schweiz.

Leben

Michelle Hunziker ist die Tochter einer Niederländerin und eines Schweizer Kunstmalers. 1980 zog die Familie in die deutschsprachige Schweiz und lebte unter anderem in der Berner Gemeinde Ostermundigen sowie in Zuchwil bei Solothurn. 1994 zog Michelle mit ihrer Mutter nach Bologna und arbeitete als Katalogmodel.

1996 lernte Hunziker den italienischen Popstar Eros Ramazzotti kennen. Am 24. April 1998 heirateten Hunziker und Ramazzotti; die Ehe wurde im Frühjahr 2002 geschieden. Die beiden haben eine Tochter.

Nach einer landesweiten Plakatkampagne der Dessousfirma Roberta Intimo, auf der Hunziker nur mit einem Stringtanga bekleidet ist, erklärte sie die italienische Presse 1995 zu „Italiens schönstem Po“. 1996 moderiert Hunziker ihre erste TV-Show I cervelloni. 1998 schaffte sie es mit der Comedyshow Paperissima Sprint in die Prime Time, es folgten weitere erfolgreiche Shows in Italien und der Schweiz. Für die Shows Zelig und Scherzi a parte wurde Hunziker im April 2002 mit dem italienischen Fernsehpreis ausgezeichnet. In Deutschland moderierte sie 1998 mit Thomas Gottschalk die Verleihung der Goldenen Kamera. Zwischen November 2002 und Herbst 2004 moderierte sie zusammen mit Carsten Spengemann bei RTL die Show Deutschland sucht den Superstar. Ein Höhepunkt ihrer Karriere war die Moderation der Sendung Striscia la notizia, die sich mit dem Tagesgeschehen und dem damaligen italienischen Premier Silvio Berlusconi – Canale 5, ein Sender seiner Sendergruppe Mediaset strahlte die Show aus – humorvoll auseinandersetzte. 2007 moderierte sie an der Seite von Pippo Baudo die 57. Ausgabe des San-Remo-Musikfestivals. Nationale Schlagzeilen machte dabei eine Geste der Verehrung des italienischen Fußballers Antonio Cassano, der der Schweizerin 500 rote Rosen in die Garderobe zukommen ließ. Michelle Hunziker versuchte sich auch als Sängerin und veröffentlichte im Dezember 2006 ihr erstes Album "Lole" sowie die Single daraus "From Noon Till Midnight".

Hunziker nahm Schauspielunterricht in Los Angeles und spielte in zwei Kinofilmen mit, die ohne kommerziellen Erfolg blieben: der italienischen Komödie Voglio stare sotto al letto (Ich will im Bett unten liegen) (1999) und in Ancient Warriors (2001). Außerdem hatte sie in der Serie La forza dell’amore 1998 eine kleine Rolle neben Sänger Gianni Morandi.

Hunziker spricht fünf Sprachen: Italienisch, Französisch, Deutsch, Englisch und Niederländisch.
