Heather Thomas (* 8. September 1957 in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA) ist eine Schauspielerin und Drehbuchautorin, die durch ihre Rolle als Jody Banks in der Vorabendserie „Ein Colt für alle Fälle“ im deutschsprachigen Raum bekannt wurde.

Ihr filmisches Schaffen beschränkt sich mit Ausnahme der sehr erfolgreichen Serie „Ein Colt für alle Fälle“ auf Rollen in Filmen der Kategorie „B“. Vor ihrer Rolle als Jody im Stuntteam hatte Heather Thomas Gastauftritte in renommierten Serien wie „Love Boat“ oder „Mike Hammer“. An den Erfolg mit „Ein Colt für alle Fälle“ (The Fall Guy) konnte sie später nicht mehr anknüpfen.

1998 gab sie ihre Karriere als Schauspielerin auf und beschränkt sich seitdem auf das Schreiben von Drehbüchern.

Am 19. Juni 2000 wurde sie Mutter einer Tochter namens India Rose.

Heather Thomas wird oft mit Heather Locklear aus dem Denver-Clan verwechselt.

Heather Thomas war Ende der 1980er Jahre mit dem damals in den USA lebenden Schlagersänger Christian Anders liiert. Beide kannten sich von den Dreharbeiten zum Film "Der Stein des Todes" ("Death Stone").
