Claudia Pechstein

[Demon]

Claudia Pechstein (* 22. Februar 1972 in Berlin) ist deutsche Eisschnellläuferin. Mit insgesamt fünf Olympiasiegen (1994, 1998, 2002 und 2006) sowie vier weiteren olympischen Medaillen ist sie die erfolgreichste deutsche Winterolympionikin (Männer und Frauen) aller Zeiten.

Die Sportlerin gehört der Eisschnelllauf-Abteilung der Eisbären Juniors Berlin an. Bei der Wahl des Bundespräsidenten 2004 war sie für die CDU Berlin Mitglied der Bundesversammlung.

Am 4. April 2002 trat Claudia Pechstein beim "TV total on ice: Pechstein vs. Raab" gegen den TV-Moderator Stefan Raab im Eisschnelllauf an. Das Duell, das live im TV gezeigt wurde, fand im Wellblechpalast im Sportforum Berlin-Hohenschönhausen statt. Hierbei gestand Pechstein ein großer Fan des Eishockeyklubs Eisbären Berlin zu sein. Eine besondere Freundschaft verbindet sie mit Eisbären-Spieler Sven Felski.
