Anna Torv

Anna Torv (* 15. April 1978 in Melbourne, Australien) ist eine australische Schauspielerin, die vor allem für die Rolle der FBI-Agentin Olivia Dunham aus der amerikanischen Fernsehserie Fringe bekannt ist. Des Weiteren arbeitet sie als Sprecherin für Film, Fernsehen und im Computerspielebereich.

Leben

Torv wurde 1978 als Tochter von Susan und Hans Torv in Melbourne geboren, wuchs jedoch gemeinsam mit ihrem Bruder Dylan an der Gold Coast in Queensland auf. Ihr Vater ist estnischer Abstammung.

Sie besuchte die Benowa State High und absolvierte 2001 ein Schauspielstudium am renommierten National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Kensington mit einem Abschluss in Darstellende Kunst. Torv arbeitete zunächst als Darstellerin am Theater. Ein Jahr später folgte ihr Kameradebüt mit einer Nebenrolle in der australischen Polizeiserie Young Lions; weitere Film- und Fernsehaufgaben schlossen sich an.

Torv ist seit Dezember 2008 mit Schauspielkollege Mark Valley verheiratet. Das Paar lernte sich am Set der Serie Fringe kennen.
