Aleksandra Wozniak

Aleksandra Wozniak (born September 7, 1987) is a professional tennis player from Canada. Wozniak is Canada's highest-ranked women's singles player at number 33 in the world (January 5, 2009), and is the only Quebecer ever to have won a WTA tournament. She has won one WTA and seven ITF tournaments. According to her website, she speaks six languages, learned Polish first and she is coached by her father, Antoni. She beat 20th seed Sybille Bammer at Roland Garros and then went on to defeat Akgul Amanmuradova until she lost to 11th seed Vera Zvonareva 6–2 6–2, it was by far her best performance at any of the Grand Slams.
