Lorie

Lorie (* 2. Mai 1982 in Le Plessis-Bouchard, im Val d'Oise (Banlieue von Paris); bürgerlich Laure Pester) ist eine französische Sängerin. Im französischen Sprachraum ist sie sehr bekannt und erfolgreich (unter anderem Doppel-Platin für das Album Près de moi).

Bereits im Alter von 3 Jahren nahm sie Tanzunterricht, später widmete sie sich dem Eiskunstlauf. Als vom Sport Begeisterte absolvierte sie das Abitur in dieser Richtung.

Ihr erstes Lied, Près de moi, geschrieben von Johnny Williams und Louis Element, wurde 1998 gratis im Internet veröffentlicht und über 15000 Mal in einem Monat heruntergeladen, aber es sollte bis zum Jahr 2000 dauern, bis ihr Lied im Radio gespielt wurde und ein großer Hit wurde. Auch ihr Buch Mes secrets war erfolgreich. Ihr zweites Album Tendrement wurde überschattet von Streitigkeiten zwischen Johnny Williams und Louis Element betreffend der Urheberrechte, doch es wurde trotzdem wiederum ein Verkaufsschlager.

Auch mit den weiteren Alben und Singles, sowie den vielen Auftritten im französischen Fernsehen und den Konzerten blieb sie ein Star, was im Best Of-Album von 2005 gipfelte. Im selben Jahr erschien auch ihr neuestes Album Rester La Même, welches eher gegen R'n'B geht und insbesondere auch die Trennung von Billy Crawford verarbeitet.
