Carole wurde 1972 in Chambéry geboren und begann nach 5 Jahren Klavierunterricht im Alter von 10 Jahren Akkordeon zu spielen. Ihr Schulstudium (Literarisches Abitur und DEUG in Musik) schloss sie erfolgreich ab und setzte ihr Musikstudium am Konservatorium von Chambéry zielstrebig fort. 1992, was für eine Preisliste! 1. Preis Goldmedaille für musikalische Ausbildung. 1. Preis Goldmedaille in Kammermusik. 1. Preis für Klavier.

Leidenschaftlich zwischen ihren beiden Instrumenten spielt Carole Montmayeur auch das Akkordeon und erhielt 1990 eine Goldmedaille des ersten Preises in der höheren Kategorie der UNAF-Wettbewerbe.
