Perrie Louise Edwards wurde am 10. Juli 1993 geboren und wuchs in South Shields, Tyne and Wear als Tochter der Eltern Alexander Edwards und Deborah Duffy auf. Ihr erstes Vorsingen, bei der britischen Talentshow “The X-Factor”, war "You Oughta Know" von Alanis Morissette.
Im Mai 2012 begann sie, mit dem ehemaligen One Direction-Mitglied Zayn Malik auszugehen. Das Paar verlobte sich im August 2013, trennte sich aber im August 2015.
Im Februar 2017 wurde bestätigt, dass sie mit dem englischen Fußballprofi Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain zusammen ist.
