Gal Gadot; * 30. April 1985 in Petach Tikwa ist ein israelisches Model und eine Schauspielerin.

Leben und Karriere

Gal Gadot wurde im Jahr 2004 in der Modelbranche als Miss Israel bekannt und trat im selben Jahr beim Miss Universe-Wettbewerb in Ecuador an. Gadot, die zwei Jahre lang im israelischen Militär gedient hatte, nahm 2007 für die Zeitschrift Maxim an dem Fotoshooting „Women of the Israeli army“ teil.

Ihr Debüt als Schauspielerin gab sie 2008 in der israelischen Fernsehserie Bubot. Internationale Bekanntheit erreichte sie durch die Filmreihe The Fast and the Furious, bei der sie von 2009 bis 2013 die Rolle Gisele Yashar spielte. In der Comic-Verfilmung Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice übernahm Gadot 2016 die Rolle der Wonder Woman. Diese verkörperte sie auch ein Jahr später in dem gleichnamigen Film Wonder Woman, diesmal als Hauptdarstellerin. Die Veröffentlichung des Films wurde im Libanon und Tunesien untersagt, da der Vorwurf besteht, Gadot habe während ihres Wehrdienstes an Angriffen auf den Gazastreifen teilgenommen.

2017 wurde sie in die Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) aufgenommen, die jährlich die Oscars vergibt.

Im Juni 2018 schlug sie die Moderation des ESC 2019 in Israel aus Zeitgründen aus.

Gadot ist seit 2008 mit dem israelischen Geschäftsmann Yaron Versano verheiratet. Die beiden haben zwei Töchter (* 2011 und * 2017).
