Pamela Denise Anderson (* 1. Juli 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Kanada) ist eine kanadisch-amerikanische Schauspielerin und Pin-Up-Girl.
Anderson arbeitete zuerst für die Werbebranche in Vancouver City und war elf Mal als Covergirl des Playboy zu bewundern. Nachdem sie bei einem Football-Spiel entdeckt wurde, zog sie nach Los Angeles. Sie gilt als ultimatives Sexsymbol der 1990er Jahre und wurde in dieser Zeit zur wohl bekanntesten Blondine der Welt. Nicht nur ihre blonden Haare stechen bei Pamela Anderson hervor, sondern vor allem ihre große Oberweite, welche sie sich mittlerweile vier Mal verändern ließ.
Im Fernsehen bekannt wurde Pamela Anderson zuerst durch ihren Auftritt als Lisa in der amerikanischen Comedy-Serie Home Improvement (deutsch: Hör mal, wer da hämmert). Weltberühmt wurde sie dann durch die Fernsehserie Baywatch, in der sie neben David Hasselhoff fünf Jahre lang die Rettungsschwimmerin Casey Jean ("C. J.") Parker spielte.
Ihr Kino-Film Barb Wire – Flucht in die Freiheit (Barb Wire, 1996) war kommerziell erfolgreich, jedoch erhielt Anderson für ihre schauspielerische Leistung eine "Goldene Himbeere" und zwei weitere Nominierungen. Danach spielte sie in der selbstproduzierten Serie VIP - The Bodyguards die Hauptrolle der Valery Irons, Galionsfigur eines Bodyguard-Unternehmens.
Für Schlagzeilen sorgte ihre turbulente Ehe (19. Februar 1995 - 28. Februar 1998) mit Tommy Lee, dem Schlagzeuger und Skandalrocker der Heavy-Metal-Band Mötley Crüe. Berühmtheit erreichte auch ihr Hochzeitsporno, den sie mit Tommy Lee im Jahr 1995 aufgenommen hatte. 1998 musste Lee drei Monate im Gefängnis verbringen, da sie ihn wegen Körperverletzung angezeigt hatte. Schließlich wurde die Ehe geschieden. Mit dem schwedischen Model Marcus Schenkenberg und dem amerikanischen Musiker Kid Rock war sie nach Lee kurzzeitig liiert. Seit Ende Juli 2006 ist sie mit Kid Rock verheiratet, reichte jedoch bereits im November 2006 wieder die Scheidung ein. Im selben Monat erlitt Pamela auch eine Fehlgeburt.
Das Guinness-Buch der Rekorde verzeichnete sie im Jahr 1996 als die im Internet am häufigsten erwähnte Frau. Sie ist Mutter zweier Kinder (Brandon, * 6. Juni 1996 und Dylan, * 29. Dezember 1997). Pamela Anderson hat Hepatitis C. Im März 2002 erklärte Anderson, sie habe sich an einer Tätowiernadel mit dem Hepatitis-C-Virus angesteckt, die sie gemeinsam mit ihrem Ex-Mann Tommy Lee benutzt habe, welcher selbst eine Erkrankung bestreitet. Seitdem sie davon weiß, ist sie regelmäßig in Behandlung und investiert viel Zeit und Geld in die Bekämpfung der Krankheit.
Seit 2003 synchronisiert sie die Cartoon-Serie Stripperella, die Hauptfigur basiert auf Pamela Anderson. Zur Zeit ist Pamela in einer neuen Comedyserie namens Stacked auf dem amerikanischen Sender Fox zu sehen, in der sie die attraktive Buchverkäuferin Styler Dayton darstellt. In den USA ist die Serie auf große Resonanz gestoßen, in Deutschland wird sie auf Comedy Central ausgestrahlt.
Nachdem sie sich für Bryan Adams' Buch Made in Canada in einer kanadischen Flagge fotografieren ließ, ist sie auf seinem, im Oktober 2005 erschienen Greatest-Hits-Album im Duett When You're Gone als "Ersatz" für Melanie C. zu hören.
Des weiteren ist Anderson strikte Vegetarierin, engagiert sich für den Tierschutz und ist aktives Mitglied der Tierrechtsorganisation PETA.
