Amy Louise Jackson is an English model and film actress, who rose to fame after winning the beauty pageant, Miss Teen World 2008.
Early Life
Born in the Isle of Man to Alan and Marguerita Jackson, she has an elder sister Alicia. The family returned to their parent's home of Knowsley, Liverpool, two years later so that her father could continue in his media career, where he is BBC Radio Merseyside's sports presenter. Jackson attended St. Edward's College, gaining 10 GCSEs, and then initially went onto Sixth Form to study English Language, English Literature and Philosophy and Ethics.
Career
After winning the Miss Teen Liverpool and Miss Teen Great Britain pageants, following several unsuccessful attempts around the country, including Manchester where Jackson was not placed, she won the Liverpool contest Miss Teen World 2008.Jackson won 18 various prizes, which included a modelling contract in the US, a wardrobe of clothes, cosmetics, shoes and a £10,000 scholarship.
Jackson signed a second modelling contract with Boss Model Management, and became popular as a model in India. This resulted in her appearance in the South-Indian Chennai based Tamil film industry as a female lead in Madrasapattinam opposite the actor Arya. Released on 9 July 2010, it is running successfully in India.
She is registered to compete for Miss England 2010, and is the favourite to win with bookmaker Boylesports.
