Una Threasa Healy (born 10 October 1981 in Thurles, County Tipperary, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish singer/songwriter and guitarist, best known for being one fifth of the girl band, The Saturdays. Una is the only non-British member of The Saturdays.

Healy comes from a musical background and began writing original music and playing the guitar at the age of 13. She is an accomplished acoustic and electric guitarist, and she also plays some piano.

Healy performed her own compositions for her Junior and Leaving Certificate (Irish State Certificate Examinations) music exams, achieving Grade A in both. After leaving school, she started fronting a local rock band in Ireland. Later, she bought her own PA system and equipment so she could get every possible gig. She continued on and recorded for a few years with various other talented musicians, performing genres ranging frompop, rock, jazz, blues and folk.

Healy won Ireland's Glinsk Song Contest in both 2004 and 2006 and her self-produced EP, Sorry was released in 2006.

Una represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 as a backing singer for Brian Kennedy on Every Song Is A Cry For Love.

In 2007, Healy joined the girl group The Saturdays. The group's first four singles have all reached the Top 10 in the music charts (If This Is Love, Up, Issues and Just Can't Get Enough). Their debut album Chasing Lights also reached the Top 10. Healy and her fellow bandmates supported Girls Aloud on their Tangled Up Tour, the Jonas Brothers at their Hammersmith Apollo gig on 11 September 2008 and Take That at Take That Present: The Circus Live on June 5 2009.

Healy is the second most prominent vocal role of the group. She sang lead vocals in If This Is Love, Fall, Lies, "Up" and Crashing Down.[citation needed]

The Saturdays made a guest appearance in Hollyoaks Later on the 18th of September 2008, playing themselves. They also starred in a short BBC drama Myths, in an episode called The Syrens' Call.[1] The Saturdays played characters called The Syrens with Una playing lead role Peisone.

Healy was interviewed on Irish television on The Podge and Rodge Show on 16 December 2008.

Una was an All-Ireland champion swimmer when she was a child. She has one sister, Deirdre. She is also the niece of the Irish Country singer, Declan Nerney. Among fans she has been nicknamed Fierce.
