Anna Torv (born April 15, 197 is an Australian actress best known for playing Agent Olivia Dunham on the FOX series Fringe. She is also known for her role as the voice, motion capture performer, and face of the main character Nariko in the Playstation 3 game Heavenly Sword.

Biography

Anna Torv was born in Melbourne[1] to Susan and Hans Torv[2] and grew up on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.[3] She has one brother named Dylan. She has been estranged from her father Hans Torv since she was 8 years old.[1] Her paternal aunt is the writer, Anna Maria Torv Murdoch Mann, who was married for 31 years to billionaire media mogul Rupert Murdoch.[4] Anna's father is of Estonian descent.[5]

She attended Benowa State High in the Gold Coast, Queensland.[6] She graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts in 2001

Torv was perhaps best known for her role in the BBC series Mistresses. She also played the voice of Nariko in the video game Heavenly Sword where her face was also used for the character model.

Torv currently portrays FBI Agent Olivia Dunham in Fringe,[8] the 2008-09 science fiction drama from J.J. Abrams. Thus far, the Fox TV series is the second-highest rated new show of the season overall[citation needed], but rates highest in the coveted young adult, aged 18-49 group[citation needed]. It has been given a full-season 2008-09 pickup by Fox.
